Self-drive · Gulf of Saint-Tropez

Luxury car rental in Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez is a peninsula: getting there is awkward and moving around it is worse. Which is exactly why the car you take, and where we hand it over, matter more here than anywhere else.

The fleet

19 cars to drive yourself

Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, Audi RS, Range Rover. We deliver across the gulf: Saint-Tropez, Ramatuelle, Gassin, Grimaud, Port Grimaud and Sainte-Maxime.

Local use

Convertibles and sports cars

In Saint-Tropez the car is seen as much as it is driven: it is eight kilometres from the village to Pampelonne. A convertible makes more sense here than a GT built for the motorway.

The stay

SUVs and large saloons

Range Rover, Urus, G-Class. For a villa in Ramatuelle or Gassin, with the tracks and steep driveways the back country imposes.

With a chauffeur

10 chauffeured vehicles

What we recommend in August: nobody looks for a parking space, nobody counts their drinks, and the car picks you up outside the beach club.

Elsewhere on the coast

Cannes, Nice, Monaco

The same fleet moves along the whole coast. Collected in Nice, returned in Saint-Tropez: common, and at no extra cost in most cases.

Delivery

Where we hand over the car

01

The port and the village

Quai Suffren, Place des Lices, or outside your hotel. Access to the old port is restricted in season: we tell you which handover point is workable at the agreed time.

02

Pampelonne and the villas

Route des Plages, Ramatuelle, Gassin, Grimaud. Handover on site, with condition report and walkthrough. No branch visit.

03

From Nice or Toulon airport

An hour and a half from Nice, an hour from Toulon-Hyères. Many clients collect at the terminal and drive down. Others prefer a chauffeur for the transfer and the car once they are there.

On the ground

Getting around the gulf, honestly

The beach road

Eight kilometres between the village and Pampelonne: fifteen minutes in April, often forty-five on an August Saturday. It is not the distance that costs you, it is the queue at the beach car parks.

Parking

The port and Place des Lices car parks fill before midday in high season, and the Pampelonne beaches charge for parking. That is why, in July and August, our clients often switch to the chauffeured option halfway through the stay.

Around the gulf

Gassin and Ramatuelle for the hill villages, Port Grimaud for the canals, Sainte-Maxime across the bay, and the Massif des Maures for anyone who actually wants to drive. The full loop takes half a day.

Frequently asked

Renting a car in Saint-Tropez

Do you deliver in Saint-Tropez itself?

Yes: in the village, at the port, at Pampelonne and to villas in Ramatuelle, Gassin and Grimaud. Return can be elsewhere on the coast if your departure changes.

What deposit and minimum age?

Between €3,000 and €15,000 depending on the model, held on a credit card in the driver’s name. 25 as a rule, 30 for the most powerful models, licence held at least two years.

How far ahead should I book?

In July and August, allow a month for a specific sports car, a fortnight for an SUV. Out of season a few days is enough. Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, in late September, behaves like high season.

Can I collect in Nice and return in Saint-Tropez?

Yes, and the other way round. It is in fact the most common pattern, since most flights land in Nice.

Is mileage capped?

A daily allowance is included with a charge beyond it, quoted before you sign. On a stay inside the gulf it is rarely reached: the distances are short.
